Stephanie has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Saint Martin’s University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience treating children, adolescents, families, men, women, and couples. Stephanie works with a variety of client problems including, but not limited to, depression/bipolar and other mood disorders, anxiety issues, marital/relationship problems, postpartum anxiety and depression, and grief issues. Stephanie has significant experience treating teens dealing with suicidal ideation/attempts, anxiety, depression, cutting, self harm, and behavior problems. She has received significant training from the Gottman Institute and is a certified instructor for The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John Gottman.
Stephanie has taught classes for anxiety using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure techniques. She has received foundational training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT) and has previously worked on a DBT team, providing both individual DBT therapy and facilitating several DBT skills classes. She incorporates CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Exposure, Motivational Interviewing and a Systems approach in her work with clients. She enjoys working with patients to identify their own goals for therapy and helping them to determine the next steps in their journey.
