Amanda Wagaman, M.A., LMHCA

Amanda Wagaman, is a psychotherapist and earned her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Brandman University. She has worked with several mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, pervasive developmental challenges, attentional issues, physical limitations, and grief. Amanda is competent in working with all levels of development, and sees adults, adolescents, and children. Amanda has a passion for working with individuals who struggle with depression and anxiety, individuals who have experienced loss or grief, individuals who have insecurities, and individuals who have health-related difficulties.

In addition to counseling, Amanda Wagaman’s background includes teaching special education in public schools, and working in homecare facilities for adults with disabilities. Amanda has also worked as a Clinical Esthetician in a spa setting which piqued her interest in combining relaxation techniques with counseling.

Amanda Wagaman is a kind and compassionate provider who uses faith-based techniques within her practice. Faith-based counseling focuses on grace and acceptance of the client’s current struggles, while instilling hope and encouragement for their future. Amanda combines the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Amanda also skillfully implements techniques for relaxation and stress reduction.

Amanda works on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and sees patients in person and over telehealth.
