Courtney Wagaman, M.A., LMHCA

Courtney Wagaman is a psychotherapist and earned her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Brandman University. Courtney uses a range of modalities; however, she leans towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Psychology in her therapeutic approach. She has a minor in biblical studies and has her B.A. in Cinema and Media Arts; she enjoys being creative, and incorporates creativity in counseling. Courtney is a Certified Art and Play Therapist, and finds that creative outlets offer an array of healing to both adults and children. Courtney believes that the therapeutic sessions should be a safe place for the client to fully express themselves. Courtney teaches how therapy can be an enjoyable process that allows for individuals to better understand themselves, and to be better equipped with the tools to face life’s challenges.

Courtney has experience in working with clients who struggle with depression, OCD, anxiety, anger, grief, trauma, and life adjustments. Courtney has a passion for working with a wide variety of clients but mostly with individuals, children and adolescents. Courtney has a background as an Assistant Nurse and as a Special Educator in the public school district. When Courtney is not working she enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and volunteering at her local church.

Courtney works on Monday, Tuesday (Telehealth only), and Wednesday.
