Tiffany Artime, Ph.D.

Dr. Tiffany Artime is a licensed clinical psychologist and earned her doctorate from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. She has provided counseling and psychological assessment services in a variety of settings including a community clinic, trauma-focused clinic, university counseling center, public elementary and secondary schools, and private practice. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Artime is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Artime has a specialization is trauma studies and sees clients with trauma-related concerns such as post-traumatic stress disorder, interpersonal and sexual victimization and abuse, and intimate partner violence. Her other areas of clinical expertise include anxiety, depression and mood difficulties, Obsessive-compulsive Disorder and Social Anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, life transitions, relationship issues, and women’s issues (including fertility challenges and postpartum adjustment). Dr. Artime’s approach to psychotherapy is based on principles of evidenced-based practice.

After a thorough assessment of your presenting concerns, she collaborates with you to identify your goals for counseling. She primarily uses cognitive and behavioral interventions (CBT) and some acceptance-based interventions such as mindfulness and emotion regulation skills. She also uses some aspects of narrative and constructivist therapies, which aim to discover the role of culture and our environment on our problems, and she relies on principles from emotion-focused therapy for relationship concerns. Dr. Artime’s hope is that through the uniqueness of the therapeutic relationship and with the assistance of research-supported interventions, you might explore new ways of thinking about yourself and the world, and adopt new behaviors and skills that are consistent with your goals. She believes it is a great privilege to share part of this journey with you.

Dr. Artime sees clients on Tuesday in person and Wednesday over telehealth.
